11 Kms from Taluk
Head quarters .It is in
rural area.It is under
the management of DSE,
with co-education. In
September 14,1957 this
school was established,called as
Nallathambi Servai Board High
School.It is upgraded
to Higher Secondary
in July 11-2001.The
school imparts education
for the classes 6
to 10 with single
section in each class.In
Higher Secondary it has three groups
in all viz. Bio-Maths, Comp-Maths, and Agri cultural practices.We
are following State
syllabus.
The school
has 5 Pucca building with
RCC roof. There
are 10 class rooms ,3 rooms
for computer , teaching
staff and office.There
is an old
building with broken
walls and Asbestos
roof which must
be demolished urgently.we
are in need
of 5 class
rooms urgently.
The school
is situated in
4 acres and
25 cents, 5
Kms from NH49 Madurai-Rameswaram National
Highway.
There is
no adequate toilets
and urinals for both boys
and girls.There is no compound
wall.The school has
drinking water facility with
overhead tank and
tap.The school is fully furnished.Science laboratory
room with equipments
is available for 9th
and 10th. Lab facility for Higher Secondary
Classes is also
available here separately. The school
has 4200 library books
but no separate library room .
The
school has 13 teachers including Headmaster and one non teaching staff under
permanent establishment. We are in need of 3 P.G teachers for English, Physics
and Chemistry. We have one PET, a Computer Instructor and an Agricultural Instructor

BC Welfare hostel and one SC welfare hostel facilities are available.

are well trained
and attending in-service
training programmes regularly.
The school
celebrated her Golden
Jubilee Year during
2007-2008.
The school
is achieving good
results in X
STD since opening
of the school. During 2008-2009
it has achieved
100% result both
in X STD & XII STD.
Further it has
achieved 100% result
in X STD
during 2004-2005 & 2010-2011.
To improve
Admissions and to
reduce dropouts we
are campaigning the
importance of education.

adequate toilets &
urinals for both
boys & girls, compound wall,
library room.
We are
increasing the learning
opportunities through study
programmes.

INTERVENTIONS
There
is a lot
of potential for
enrolment in the
school. Some parents
are admitting their
wards in English
medium schools in
Manamadurai due to
infrastructure facilities. If
the Govt. provides all,
the parent will
admit their wards
here. Plans are implemented
to bring back
the dropouts. The
teachers are paying
more attention to
develop the children
in all dimensions
by promoting sports,
and cultural activities.
The
teachers conduct literary
activities , quiz,
debating, essay writing
model assembly and
preparing for various
activities. The school participated
in Science Exhibitions
both in District
level and State
level.
The
SMDC has met
often to discuss
the progress of
the children.
The
Teacher Pupil ratio is
1:20. The average
attendance of the
pupils is 90%
in last year. The school celebrates all important
days. Rs.5000/- is required to implement the above strategies.

beginning of the

improve enrolment and to

the help of
them the school distributes prizes and
incentives for the merits

XII.If the student

school we will inform their parent.If
